Abstract: In the article the definition of the term «vital competence» of teenagers with moderate and heavy degree of intellectual backwardness is given. A short description of diagnostic-estimation complex of formation of some vital competence indicators (operational, communicative, and regulative-cognitive) is presented; the definition of qualitative characteristics of levels of vital competences formation of the teenagers is resulted.
