Abstract: This article considers the maintenance of the work with the school-scientific texts in the «Surrounding world» lessons. Besides, the author analyzes the main abilities of elementary school children in learning of the school-scientific texts: perception, an understanding of the text, abilities of treatment of the information. The author offers methods of teaching of elementary school children to work with school-scientific text.
