Abstract: The article examines the viewpoint of the Russian Orthodox Church on the state of morals in contemporary Russian society, suggestions made by the hierarchs of the Church to overcome the moral crisis, in which the country has found itself, means, legal initiatives and suggested ways of social service in cooperation with state institutions of the Russian Federation.
