Abstract: Russian education today is in the process of modernization, which influences modernization of both professional and pedagogical education. Based on the analysis of opinions of experts — members of pedagogical community from educational establishments in different parts of Russia, in the course of interactive survey, the author of this article singles out the priority tasks of modernization, underlines the conditions necessary for its realization. In the article the points of view of the experts are divided according to different aspects of modernization of pedagogical education. The article may be useful for the specialists in educational system management, scientists studying problems of sociology of education.
