Abstract: In the article the idea of development of individual projects and research activity in the course of teaching algebra and the basis of analysis is revealed. Components of individual project and research activity and stages of its development are defined. As a development tool of individual projects and research activity tasks situations and generalized ways of project and research activity are chosen.
