Development of Geographic-Informational Competence of Students on the Basis of Application of GIS-Technologies

Abstract: The problem of development of geographic-informational competence of students on the basis of application of GIS-technologies in accordance with Federal State Educational Standard is discussed. It is suggested that the developmental potential of GIS-technologies should be used in the informational educational environment to develop students’ skills of using search activities.
