Abstract: The analyses of the mass media influence on the process of the development of meaningful life orientations within the contemporary students environment is presented. The author refers to the definition of the structure and contents of the complex of the meaningful life values, which are acute for the representatives of the contemporary Russian students environment and gives the authentic definition of the concepts: “meaningful life orientations of the students” and “pedagogical potential of mass media”.
