Abstract: The problem of development of professional flexibility of a teacher in the system of vocational education is analyzed. The methodological approaches (systemic, competence, person-and-activity focused and axiological) are distinguished as well as basic concepts (vocational education and professional flexibility of a teacher) and principles of concept building (determination, succession, dynamic character and perspectives) which are of great importance for solution of the problem.
