Abstract: The article studies the work of Sverdlovsk Teacher Training College during wartime: peculiarities of organization of the process of teaching and upbringing. methodological and pastoral activity; analyzes the problems of supply and maintenance which both teachers and students faced, and shows the heroic everyday labor and the voluntary participation in the program of assistance to the front.
