GTO (Ready to Work and Defense) Complex and Development of Physical Training of Popular Masses in the Urals in 1931-1941

Abstract: On the basis of the Urals region material the development of the complex "Ready to Work and Defence" in 1930s - 1941 is studied, the changes in physical education as the result of the complex development are analyzed, the role of voluntary sport associations in popularization and training to pass the norms of the complex and in patriotic education of young people is discussed.
