Abstract: The article is devoted to assessment of the Mathematics education of students in the largest pedagogical university of the region (on the basis of the Ural State Pedagogical University – USPU). The grounds for assessment were the results of the Unified State Exam in Maths of the applicants to the USPU and some other available data. Deep assessment of the quality of continuity of Mathematics at school and at university is provided. The following ways of quality improvement are possible: individual approach in teaching Mathematics, test of knowledge in Mathematics, the use of information and communication technologies, etc. One of the main ways of education quality perfection is formation of Mathematic culture of prospective teachers. The levels of Mathematic culture of a teacher are described: the use of active and interactive forms of education, as well as mobile technologies, to motivate students to study Mathematics; increase of the role of meta-subject links by means of emphasizing of the applied potential of Mathematics; stimulation of self-education of students with the help of research, creative and project tasks.
