Abstract: Variants of introduction competence approach are considered. According to the author, the variant offering problem training, integration of received knowledge and abilities, organization of research activity of trainees is the most effective. The author underlines that this variant of competence approach is more often found in teacher’s practice, it does not serve the basis for making administrative decisions.
