Abstract: The article deals with the semantic meaning of attribution. The author disclosed the content, structure and type of attribution, the main attribute of the theory and the possibility of studying the manifestations of self attribution. The results of empirical study of self attribution style of academic and professional activity of students, depending on the degree of academic success are presented. The possibility of empirical evaluation of the academic self attribution style will let predict the behavior of students in a situation of success or failure in the academic activity.
