Abstract: The analysis of individual-personal component of social competence of students of institutions of vocational education is given. In the course of the study it was found that students in the first and fourth years of different qualifications have differences in the level of social and psychological adjustment, the ability and willingness to self-development and self-education, and social competence. Heterogeneity of correlation of professional expectations of future specialists of different spheres with indicators of their social competence is found.
