Abstract: The article illustrates the role of tourism as an active tool of moral and spiritual education, stimulating socialization and development of communication of pedagogical university students while mastering the program of the all-Russian sports complex (ARSC). It reflects the importance of application of scientific-methodological principles of tourism with the aim of patriotic education and development of moral, volitional and intellectual properties of students. The importance of walking tourism is studied in the context of general physical fitness.
