Abstract: The article deals with the problem of creation of the theoretical foundations of the use of the personal educational environment in the realization of modern systems of education. The article studies the essence of the environment and the relation of the personal educational environment with other related notions and specifies the characteristic forms of mixed learning. The author highlights possibilities and methods of using the personal educational environment at all stages of mixed learning and formulates the conclusion about pedagogical and cognitive expediency of usage of the personal educational environment for the formation of students’ competencies and for the realization of individual approach in the conditions of mixed learning.
