Abstract: The article is based on the survey of professional self-determination of students’ in conditions of a secondary employment by the example of sociology students of three universities in Ekaterinburg. The article analyzes the situation with their employment, satisfaction with the working place, the level of professional training needed to do the work in the secondary employment and the skills acquired during this employment. The article dwells on the doubts of students about their primary choice of University specialty and future career under the influence of the secondary employment.
