Abstract: The article deals with the concept of “moral and patriotic education” in relation to pre-school age. It describes the theory of moral and patriotic education of preschool children in the aspect of culture-centered approach. The article reveals the educational potential of fine arts in acquiring universal values and national culture, through recourse to internal forces of pupils during their immersion in the atmosphere of artistic creativity, experience and understanding of artistic images — carriers of moral values.
