Abstract: The article deals with the necessity of the process of teaching students-linguists to be adapted to comply with requirements of their future profession, as well as with the necessity of forming a special type of translator's way of thinking. This paper provides an analysis of the influence of formed foreign-language grammatical competence of future translators on the quality of translation.
