The «Incomprehensibility» of Modernist Prose: The Story «Das Grauen» (1912) by Robert Muller

Abstract: The article deals with the early story «Das Grauen» (1912) by Austrian expressionist, activist, journalist and publisher Robert Muller (1887-1924). The paper presents a model of insanity simulation in the story as a source of ―incomprehensibility‖ of a modernist text.
