Abstract: The deficit of pedagogical experience in using of cloud services in educational practice causes a need for a research of their didactic opportunities for organization of the main types of educational activities, including modeling (design) of the information educational environment (IEE). Based on a review of approaches to the definition of IEE, analysis of the relationship with other concepts, selection of its structural components, objects and subjects, features and functions, the essence and refined models of IEE are described in terms of opportunities to integrate cloud services into the structural components of the IEE. The article specifies the features of building IEE based on cloud services. The performed analysis of the didactic opportunities of cloud services allows the author to make a conclusion about expediency of training qualified and future teachers to use cloud-based technologies in their professional activities and, in particular, when constructing their own subject-based educational environments.
