Abstract: The paper presents the modern concept of personality-oriented education, formulates the methods, goals and objectives of personality-oriented language education. The goals of personality oriented education in the study of a foreign language include comparing the social significance of linguistic education and personal abilities and aptitudes that would allow the person to realize his potential in various socially important spheres of life. In the process of personality-oriented language education the organization of educational process involves the creation of conditions for dialogue based on understanding and mutual understanding (while in the traditional system of foreign language education focuses on explanation) and cooperation in the subject-subject area.
