The GTO (Ready to Work and Defense) Badge: Development of the State Physical Training Program in the USSR (On the Material of Sverdlovsk Region)

Abstract: The article studies the history of the GTO program in the Urals during the Soviet period and its role in the development of mass sports movement in the region. The role of the state and corporative physical training collectives in this process is analyzed.
