Philological Education in the Period of Childhood: Vectors of Development of Child and Science

Abstract: The article presents the main results of the scientific school “The content of literary education in the period of childhood”. The article lays out the basic positions of the concept of literary education in the period of childhood, singles out areas of research of the representatives of the scientific school connected with the development of linguistic identity of children of pre-school, primary school age and younger teenagers and development of ting linguo-didactic support of the given process. The authors present a theoretical and methodological basis of these studies and describe some results: training listening comprehension at various stages of education, formation of the concept of "language" in younger teens, etc. The article also describes a new area of work of the scientific school – the formation of information literacy of younger schoolchildren in the course of linguistic education as training of informative actions in younger schoolchildren in the course of work with dictionaries and educational and scientific texts at Russian lessons.
