Abstract: The article explains the importance of subjectivity as a major factor and a resource of formation of professional competence of students as future specialists during their college years. It reveals the psychological meaning of "subjectivity", "competence"and "professional competence" of the future mid-level professionals, is a mechanism of actualization of subjectivity in the process of formation of professional competence of college students
