Abstract: Cooperation in educational sphere in China is constantly broaden, including joint training of teachers. The interest to learning Russian in China is growing, more and more young people want to study Russian. There are several educational programs to teach Russian, approved by the Department of Higher Education of the State Ministry of Education of China. Today in China there is a series of new textbooks in Russian. The specialty “Russian Language” exists in more than 120 Chinese universities. This paper presents the general principles of teaching Russian in Chinese universities, it also discusses the methods of teaching Russian (speech practice, linguo-didactic knowledge, audio-visual aids). The author of this paper analyses the problems of studying Russian and tries to find the ways to solve them.
