Abstract: One of the main difficulties for Chinese russianists is possessive-reflexive pronoun свой, the use of which largely differs from that of its Chinese synonym zijide, although there are similarities between them. On the basis of semantic scope, the use of possessive-reflexive pronoun свой is to express that an object belongs to the semantic subject in the same predicate structure. Inspite of the fact that this possessive-reflexive pronoun is one of the important phenomena in Russian grammar, the students often make mistakes using it. The problem is that in the textbook “Vostok”, which is used in many Chinese universities, this grammatical topic is not given as a system. The author of this paper is sure that this topic should be perfected; on the one hand, it should be given systematically, on the other hand – it is necessary to broaden the scope of the language means. The author analyzes the use of possessive-reflexive pronoun свой in the sentences of different types.
