The author describes the concept of the worldview as one of the ways of conceptualizing reality and defines certain fragments of reality formed in the linguistic consciousness in the process of communication and socialization. Such fragments include the following: Everyday Life, Family, Transport, Sports, Production, Education, Recreation, Arts, Evaluation, Emotions and Feelings, Place of Residence, Mass Media, Native Land, etc. While defining the lexical groups of words which represent the worldview in the linguistic consciousness (“Events and Phenomena” and “Social Relations”), and combining them into a single conceptual system of “Man as a Social Creature”, the author comes to the conclusion that the realization of the conceptual approach provides the formation of a more complete worldview in the linguistic consciousness and turns the person into a linguistic personality. The use of the notion of the “worldview” highlights the activity approach to the understanding of the process of interaction between the person and the surrounding reality.
