Abstract: In the article the problem of designing of the methods of formation (development) of component and engineering thinking to be included in the methods of teaching is discussed. The urgency of the problems, singled out during the analysis of pedagogical and methodological literature, makes it possible to conclude about the lack of conformity existing today between the particular methods (not for special purposes) of components formation and all structural components and activity of engineering thinking. The authors propose the idea of considering ways to solve the problem by building a system of methods in the context of the use of information educational environment of both educational institution and the participant of the educational process. In the context of considering learning methods as a substructure of teaching methods and on the basis of the interpretation of the concepts of "teaching method using the information educational environment" and "method of formation (development) of engineering thinking with educational information environment" a variant of the complex methods of formation a component of engineering thinking is presented. On the basis of generalization of the proposed stages of construction of the methods of formation of engineering thinking, a conclusion is made about the need to focus the system of methods on: all the structural components of thinking; new classifications of teaching methods, methods of information and communication technologies and methods of information educational environment; the content, methodological and technological features of the information educational environment.
