Abstract: The article deals with problems in the field of education that can be solved with mobile devices. The purpose of the article is to consider the possibility of using mobile devices in the educational process. The paper analyzes the works related to the issues of the use of mobile devices in learning and their didactic function. The possibilities of using mobile devices in educational process, the advantages and disadvantages of their use in the educational process are discussed. The author gives examples of the application of these training funds in the system of modern education. The possibilities of mobile devices for the organization of interaction of the teacher with students in real time, providing access to educational and reference local area networks and the Internet, distance learning, visualization, demonstration material, testing and questioning of students. It also discusses the possibility of using in the educational process of specialized capabilities of smartphones and tablets: Power Management-set devices, navigation system, etc., are examples of their implementation in the course of studying various disciplines. The paper concludes that the use of mobile devices will significantly improve the efficiency of the educational institution.
