Student Workbook as a Means to Obtain Meta-subject Results in Teaching Physics

Abstract: One of the key objectives of the Concept of the Federal State Educational Standards of the second generation is the development of universal curriculum activities, mastery of which creates the possibility of an independent successful assimilation of new knowledge, skills and competences of students in the particular school subject. Students’ workbook is a means to assess the level of formation of universal educational activities and competencies acquired by the students to achieve meta-subject results. To reach this goal the author proposed the algorithm of work with the workbook for the teachers; it contains tasks aimed at the formation of universal educational activities, as well as the technique of tracking the level of achievement of the expected meta-subject results. Using the criteria table proposed by the author the teacher will be able to track the level of completeness of universal educational activities for every student in the process of studying the topic (section) included in the curriculum. The results can be used for theoretical research and practical application by the teachers in the evaluation of the planned level of meta-subject results of learning, a comprehensive analysis of educational outcomes, correction of individual educational route of the student.
