Abstract: This article continues a series of publications describing the results of the study of the persistence-specificity characteristic of adolescents with disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The study was conducted in two groups of subjects, including 22 adolescents with disorders of the musculoskeletal system aged 12 to 18 years and 22 adolescents of the same age and sex, who do not have any disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The following techniques were used: a modified resilience test S. Muddy (in the adaptation of D. A. Leontyeva, E. I. Rasskazova); questionnaire “Style of self-regulation of behavior — 98” (MTP — 98); Russian version of the stress management questionnaire SORE K. Carver, M. Scheier, J. Weintraub, compiled on the basis of theoretical ideas of R. Lazarus and his own theoretical model of the authors of the questionnaire; five-factor personal questionnaire “Big Five” (Magnificent Five) R. McCray and P. Costa. The article revealed significant differences between samples of adolescents with and without musculoskeletal disorders, according to the criterion of “viability” (which is significantly higher among adolescents with disorders of the musculoskeletal system), as well as on two of the three components of viability: involvement and control. The overall level of self-regulation in adolescents with disorders of the musculoskeletal system is, on average, higher than in adolescents without disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the regulatory and personal characteristics are lower. It was found that adolescents in both groups choose a different number of actively used coping strategies. In adolescents with disorders of the musculoskeletal system, a direct correlation was found between the level of vitality and age. In both groups of adolescents, a relationship was found between the level of resilience and all its components, and such personality traits as emotional stability. The data obtained can be used in the design and implementation of psycho-correctional work programs, as well as in the implementation of vocational guidance programs in educational organizations. The results of the study may be of interest to parents raising children and adolescents, including those who do not have limited health opportunities.
Key words: Disorders of the musculoskeletal system; personality resilience; teenagers; children with movement disorders; psychology of adolescents; psychology of personality.
