Abstract: The article touches upon the problem of formation of safety culture of professional activity among future labor protection specialists. The author of the paper notes the importance of ensuring labor safety in the process of performing employment duties. Attention is focused on the need to form the safety culture of future labor protection specialists. It is noted that the study and clarification of the principles for the formation of professional activity safety culture of future specialists in labor protection are important for determining the strategy of professional training of labor protection specialists, as well as for justifying the theoretical and methodological foundations of the given research. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the essence of the basic principles of formation of safety culture of future labor protection specialists and to determine their influence on the definition of the strategy for the process of professional training of future labor protection specialists. The following methods of scientific research are used in the work: analysis of scientific-pedagogical and psychological literature on the research problem, classification and systematization of scientific works, and practical experience. The article provides theoretical analysis of the views of various scholars on the didactic principles of education. The concept of «the principles for the formation of professional activity safety culture of future specialists in labor protection» has received its further development. The following principles for the formation of safety culture of future labor protection specialists have been determined and characterized: the principle of existence of integrative processes in higher education; the principle of creation of an effective sphere of instruction; principle of close connection between academic education and formation of safety culture; the principle of inclusion in innovative activity; the principle of independent determination of individual educational trajectory of formation of safety of professional activity; the principle of systemic organization of the process of formation of safety of professional activity; the principle of healthy lifestyle propaganda. The article contains general characteristics of the above-mentioned principles. The work is of interdisciplinary nature, written at the intersection of pedagogical, psychological, and technical sciences. The suggested approach may be of interest to the pedagogues of higher education institutions in the field of labor protection and life safety.
