Abstract: The article is devoted to intercultural foreign-language education and training of students of the linguistic fields of education. The article discusses the possibilities and features of application of scenario technology in the subject of “Theory and Practice of Intercultural Communication”. The scenario technology is considered as a tool of practical intercultural foreign-language skills development of students-linguists. This technology is offered as one of the components of educational intercultural foreign-language training. The application of a scenario technology in the course of practical intercultural education and training of students can make a positive impact on the development of intercultural foreign-language competence of future linguists-translators. The scenario technology is a rather new tool applied in intercultural didactics of the German-speaking countries, particularly in the field of intercultural training. This technology was widely adopted and has been recognized by German-speaking researchers of intercultural education and training as one of successful practical development tools of intercultural competence. The analysis and application of the experience of the German-speaking countries is of interest for the Russian higher education, as it opens wide possibilities of application of one of the best western educational practices in the intercultural foreign-language education and training of students of the Russian higher education institutions. The article describes and analyzes the examples of application of scenario technology in the intercultural foreign-language education and training of students-linguists, it describes techniques and possibilities of the application of this technology for development of foreign-language communicative competence of students, and intercultural foreign-language competence in general.
