Use of Stream-Technologies in Distance Learning

Abstract: The article reveals the organizational and technological aspects of the application of stream-technologies in distance learning (by the example of the Ural State Pedagogical University). The tendency of development of distance educational technologies is noted. The article describes the relevance of video content in the educational process of the University. The scheme of planning, preparation and organization of classes with the use of stream-technologies in the distance educational environment is proposed, which is a model of interaction between participants in the educational process. Problems and prospects of development of stream-technologies and distance education are outlined. The peculiarities of training teachers to give online classes like webinars with the help of stream-broadcasting services are analyzed. A list of theoretical and practical lessons in the field of teacher’s training for streaming and conducting classes using distance educational technologies is offered. The organizational and technological conditions for conducting online classes using the above services are described. The advantages and disadvantages of the platforms for online classes Adobe Connect Pro and Mirapolis Virtual Room, used in USPU in distance learning, as well as Youtube and Twitch services, were analyzed from the point of view of their advantages and disadvantages. The variants of the solution of the problems of the stream-technology in distance learning are shown. To broadcast, it is proposed to use the Youtube service and the popular Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) capture program together with one of the Adobe Connect Pro or Mirapolis Virtual Room services in the distance learning process of the university; when applied together all the disadvantages inherent in each service are eliminated.
