Abstract: The article is devoted to the problem of formation of responsibility for the results of educational activity of students of secondary vocational education in the process of dual training. The author's interpretation of the concept of «responsibility» is suggested. The formation of the student's responsibility in the dual form of vocational training is shown. We identified signs and indicators of the formation of responsibility. The relationship between dual training and the formation of the responsibility of trainees has been identified. Responsibility involves the relationship of a person's dependence on something very important in his life. Freedom of action is possible in the presence of responsibility, which means the possibility of losing something important: work, office or material wealth. If there is no responsibility, then there is no freedom of will, freedom of choice, decision-making, freedom of action, that is, there is no imputation or guilt. Without the possibility of losing anything, responsibility does not appear. The essence of responsibility is a combination of the most important values that a person can lose because of unpreparedness or negligence in the performance of official duties. This is a personal quality, which determines the person’s ability to realize in advance the correspondence of the results of his actions to the goals and social norms. It is a willingness to lose a career, reputation, material wealth, freedom and even life, if these norms are violated. To form the responsibility for the result of the educational activity of vocational school students, it is necessary to give the students holistic tasks and create situations oriented to real production, to provide them with the opportunity for independent active work based on their life experience — these are the activity technologies. One of the approaches to solving this problem, in our opinion, is the idea of including in the educational process the technology of dual training.
