Abstract: Modern education presupposes the transfer from simple passing of knowledge to the formation of competences, including socio-cultural (intercultural) competence. Intercultural education is a method of deliberate studying of both native and foreign cultures. During the professional foreign-language teacher instruction it is reasonable to use the method of intercultural training.
