Tournament and Festival of Young Inventors and Innovators as a New Form of Development of Engineering Creativity of Students

Abstract: The article discusses the process of formation and improvement in the Sverdlovsk region of the new pedagogical form of creative abilities’ development of the younger generation named the Young Inventors’ and Innovators’ Tournament, which became the legal successor of the of scientific and engineering Olympiads. The authors proposed a new structure and content of the tournament, aimed at the technical creativity development of pupils, and experimentally proved the effectiveness of the technical creative abilities development of pupils in the learning process of the inventions analysis and in the course of preparation and participation of pupils in the Competition of young inventors and rationalizers.
