Abstract: One of the main characteristics of the mediacompetence – personal, is explained, which is fundamental, as it is connected with the principles of humanistic pedagogy and represents a new paradigm of mediaeducation. Its main indicator is the humanist position of the teacher when using media technologies, reflecting the main task – to reveal the potential of the students, to support, to find ways and methods to ensure the success of their media activities.
