Method of Phonetic Associations as an Essential Part of the Process of Teaching English

Abstract: This article is devoted to the analysis of the method of phonetic associations and its application at English lessons in primary school. We have analyzed psychophysical features of human memory. There were described existent varieties of Atkinson’s method, the technology of its application was examined, qualitative and quantitative results of the experiment in 2–5th forms of primary state school № 5 in Nadym are given in this article.
