Self-study in the History of Pedagogy

Abstract: The article describes the major milestones of the organization of independent work of students in the history of pedagogy. It singles out the characteristic features of the organization of self-study of students of each period of the Russian higher education and defines the importance of competent organization of independent work of students at the present stage.
