Abstract: The article analyzes of the structural units of special closed-type institutions that are directly involved in the process of social rehabilitation of deviant adolescents and identifies the list of required competencies for teaching staff in closed institutions. It also describes specific features of the content of refresher courses for teachers of special institutions and presents the modules of academic disciplines in the curriculum of refresher courses for teachers of special custodial institutions for children and adolescents with behavioral problems.
