Abstract: The article is devoted to the role of volunteer activity in socio-cultural rehabilitation of old people. It is emphasized that the preparation of students in the specialty «Pedagogical education» of the profile «Musical education» for volunteer activity with old people in the sphere of socio-cultural rehabilitation may be one of the directions of professionalization of the future teachers-musicians.
