Socio-Cultural Space of the University as a Factor of Formation of Socio-Cultural and Professional Competencies in the Process of Training Students of Higher Educational Institutions of Culture and Arts to Play the Piano

Abstract: The article dwells on the importance of the use of the socio-cultural space of the university as one of the factors for the formation of socio-cultural and professional competences of students in higher educational institutions of culture and arts; it substantiates a conclusion that in modern conditions the socio-cultural activities, which embody the work in the society for raising the cultural level of the Russian population, are an effective tool in the fight for a way out of spiritual and moral crisis of society, of the crisis in its education. The widespread use of the socio-cultural environment of higher educational institutions in the educational process, illustrated on the basis of the analysis of the experience of the Department of Piano at BSIAC, confirms the above formulated theoretical proposition as one of the conditions for the realization of the Federal State Educational Standards requirements, determining the improvement of the quality of students’ learning.
