Abstract: The article describes the solution of the problem of intensification of research activities of students of art specialties in learning arts and crafts based on the systematic approach. On this basis the article proposes new definitions of the following: educational-professional artistic creativity of students, the development of art students, art students’ objectification. A theoretical model of the pedagogical system of design and organization of research activities in learning arts and crafts is offered. The article analyzes this model, which resulted in the proposal to include the system of educational and creative problems in the structure of several components of the considered pedagogical system.
