Abstract: Multi-component system of control and assessment of students‘ knowledge and competences is implemented in higher educational establishment ―Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University‖. The article describes the results of the use of this system for systematization of the educational process and ensuring objective system of assessment of different competences of students-linguists.
