Abstract: The possibility of the organization of the competence approach in the system of continuous professional education of vocalists is discussed. Development of the model of formation of professional competences of teachers vocalists in the process of continuous improvement of their qualification is described. System-integrated tripartite structuring of psychological, theoretical and practical bases of academic vocal is revealed.
