Abstract: The article is devoted to the developing resource of the methods of adult teaching in the context of overcoming psychological barriers of professional development of a personality. The aim of the article is a theoretical review of the developing resource of the methods of adult teaching in the context of overcoming psychological barriers of professional development of a personality. The study uses theoretical methods such as analysis of scientific literature, synthesis of the main provisions on the problem under study, generalization of domestic and foreign approaches to the psychological study of barriers and adult education. The article defines the resources to overcome psychological barriers, including the key role given to lifelong learning and adult education. Russian and international experience shows that adult education, today, with a huge arsenal of means and methods, becomes one of the leading forms of human social activity, and gives one the opportunity for constructive design of a successful individual professional path. In this regard, the author analyzes the possibilities of overcoming the barriers by lifelong education and adult learning. In this case, emphasis is laid on the description of the methods of adult education, presented in Russian and foreign psychological and pedagogical literature, and analysis of the potential of these methods in the context of overcoming psychological barriers of professional development of a personality. The results of the study can be used as learning and teaching materials in the systems of training, retraining, professional development of staff in the organization, as well as in developing programs for training and career planning.
