Abstract: The article deals with the problems of new socio-pedagogical technologies aimed at ensuring socialization of children and teenagers, one of which is socio-pedagogical assistance; it also analyzes the notions of ―socio-pedagogical assistance‖ and ―socio-pedagogical support‖; then it provides a comparison of these notions on the material of published teaching aids and scientific articles. The authors formulate their own definition of the notion of ―socio-pedagogical assistance‖, based on the etymology of the Russian word ―soprovozhdeniye, and describe the constituent parts of the notions of pedagogical assistance and social assistance; they single out the functions of socio-pedagogical assistance to maladapted teenagers (goal setting, prognostic, diagnostic, socio-technological, control and corrective); finally, they reveal the peculiarities of socio-pedagogical assistance to maladapted teenagers.
