Pedagogical Conditions of Formation of Students’ Skills of Singing March Songs

Abstract: The article considers specific features of march songs. It is argued that a march song is based on the genre of march and has a specific function: to maintain a predetermined tempo of movement. The specific nature of the march song consists in special emphasis on the verbal component, revealing its content: it is characterized by declamatory moments, chanting and stressing certain syllables. The rhythmic aspect is characterized by a cut time signature with a clear emphasis on the first beat. With regard to the specific features of this musical genre, it is necessary to be able to match singing to movement: to "keep to" a specific tempo set by the artistic-imagery beginning of the song; to feel the strong beat of the cut time signature; to perform the song loudly, clearly articulating and pronouncing the words of the lyrics. The conditions of formation of skills of performance of a march song are determined on the basis of the peculiarities of march songs in general and taking into account the development of the vocal apparatus of adolescents at a given age. These conditions include: organization of work on the health-preserving basis; matching singing to movement; development of the sense of rhythm; singing in a speech position. This complex of the necessary conditions provides didactic unity to the learning process, guarantees its logic, integrity and interrelation of all its parts, with the dominant position of health-preservation.
